Mentorship Program

At TrueNorth Soccer, our Mentorship Program is dedicated to empowering young refugees by providing them with guidance, responsibility, and a sense of belonging through the beautiful game of soccer. We believe in the transformative power of sport, and our program is designed to offer more than just athletic training—it’s about building character, fostering leadership, and creating a community.

Through this program, we hire young refugees as assistant coaches, giving them meaningful work and a chance to develop important life skills while working alongside experienced coaches and positive role models. Each participant is paired with a seasoned coach who provides mentorship both on and off the field. Together, we train twice a week, build relationships, and when possible, gather on Sundays to attend church, further nurturing a sense of community and shared purpose.

This program is not just a job; it’s an investment in the personal and professional growth of each participant. By providing opportunities for leadership and responsibility, we aim to equip these young individuals with the tools they need to succeed in all areas of life. To ensure the continued success of this initiative, 10% of all profits from TrueNorth Soccer are directed toward funding our internship program, supporting the future of these promising young leaders.

Through soccer, mentorship, and a supportive network, we’re helping to shape the future of young refugees, providing them with the confidence and skills to succeed both on and off the field.
